This unit we have been inquiring into schools around the world. In English class we have created an interactive bulletin board to share this investigation with the school.
- Many teachers gave us pictures of themselves as students or themselves teaching around the world.
- We then looked at the pictures and compared them to our school. We made the table with sticky notes to record this information. We were surprised to discover that many of the pictures are not from Canadian schools. We discovered more similarities then differences in the schools in the photos.
- We then opened this up to be a whole school activity. The challenge was to ask yes or no questions to find out which teacher was in the photo and what country they are in.
This has been a fun activity to encourage questioning and discovery! It got the whole school involved!
